Grown-up sheet · Where Is It? Island · Big game

How to use it

  1. Watch the video together with your child. Don't give them the answer. If they stay quiet, wait for Pipo to say it.
  2. For each challenge, mark just one box:
    • ✓ if they answered on their own, before the circle emptied.
    • ½ if they answered late or with help.
    • ✗ if they didn't answer or got it wrong.
  3. Pause the video to write things down if you need to.
  4. At the end, look at the "What to review?" table.

What to watch for on this island:

  • Saying the word: it counts as ✓ if they say the word or an equivalent ("on top," "under," "inside," "outside"). If they only point without saying anything, mark ½.
  • In front and behind: see whether they notice what is covering what. If they say "behind" because the ball is higher up, they don't have it yet.
  • The line: see whether they look for the flag before answering.

What to review?

Rule: a block is mastered if the child got most of its challenges with ✓ and none with ✗.

· Above and below 1–2 Stop 1: "Learn" and "Play" (M6-S1-A, M6-S1-J1)
· Inside and outside 3–4 Stop 2: "Learn" and "Play" (M6-S2-A, M6-S2-J1)
· In front, behind, and beside 5–7 Stop 3: "Learn" and "Play more" (M6-S3-A, M6-S3-J2)
· The line 8–10 Stop 4: "Learn" and "Play" (M6-S4-A, M6-S4-J1)
· Is it true? 11–12 Stop 5: "Learn" and "Play" (M6-S5-A, M6-S5-J1)

What to do next:

  • Everything mastered: on to Island 7 ("Shapes").
  • One block not mastered: rewatch those videos for 2 or 3 days while the next island begins.
  • Two or more blocks not mastered: it's worth spending one more week on this island.

Common mistakes at this age:

  • Mixing up in front and behind (challenges 5 and 6). This is the hardest part of the island. At home, play using their own body: "Stand behind the chair. Can you see my face? And now, in front?"
  • Always saying "yes" in the "Is it true?" block (challenge 12 is true and 11 is not). If they said "yes" to both, mark ✗ on 11: they aren't yet comparing what they hear with what they see. Play at saying false things on purpose ("The cat is on top of the roof" when it isn't) so they laugh and say "No!"
  • Counting the line from the right. If they point to the last one as first, remind them: "The line starts at the flag."
