Grown-up sheet · Level 3 · Calendar Island · Big game
This is the sixth island of Level 3: comparing things in two ways, measuring the right way, the days of the week, and yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
How to use it
- Watch the video together with your child. Don't give them the answer. If they stay quiet, wait for Pipo to say it.
- For each challenge, mark just one box:
- ✓ if they answered on their own, before the circle emptied.
- ½ if they answered late or with help.
- ✗ if they didn't answer or got it wrong.
- Pause the video to write things down if you need to.
- At the end, look at the "What to review?" table.
What to watch for on this island:
- Big isn't the same as heavy: many children think the biggest thing always weighs more. Notice whether they look at the scale or only at the size.
- Measuring the right way: what matters is that they notice the gaps and the different cubes, not just that they count.
- Days of the week: at this age it's normal to say them in order from Monday but struggle to start in the middle ("What comes after Thursday?").

What to do next:
- Everything mastered: move on to the next island (logic and paths).
- One block not mastered: rewatch those videos for 2 or 3 days.
- Two or more blocks not mastered: it's worth spending one more week on this island. The days of the week are learned through everyday use, not all at once.
Common mistakes at this age:
- "The balloon is heavier because it's bigger" (challenge 2): hold a cushion and a can of food, one in each hand.
- Counting the cubes without looking at the gaps (challenge 3): measure a table with your hands, first the right way (hands touching) and then spread apart. Do you get the same number?
- Mixing up yesterday and tomorrow (challenges 7 and 8): every night, say together "today was…, tomorrow will be…". A calendar on the wall helps a lot.
